Content Creation
Capcut
CapCut is a powerful video editing app that works seamlessly on your phone, tablet, or desktop. If you’re serious about creating content regularly, I recommend going for CapCut Pro. It’s worth it!
Coolors
I use Coolors to create eye-catching color palettes for my designs, branding, and videos. Super easy to use, and a game changer for keeping a cohesive aesthetic.
Giphy
GIFs are a great way to add a fun, cultural touch to your content, especially in emails where video clips aren’t an option. Giphy lets you create your own GIFs for free, which I highly recommend for bringing more personality to your messages.
EyeCannndy
Similar to Giphy but with a more curated, boutique feel, EyeCandy offers trendy and moody GIFs inspired by pop culture. A perfect tool for adding a little extra flair to your social media.
Canva
Canva is the ultimate design tool for non-designers. Whether it’s social media posts, e-books, PDFs, or even videos, Canva has you covered with easy-to-use templates. Plus, it offers AI tools and voiceover options for video content.
Guidde
Guidde uses AI to help you create step-by-step guides in record time. If you’re building tutorials or walkthroughs, this tool will save you hours.
TikTok Studio
A recent release, TikTok Studio lets creators manage their accounts without getting sucked into the main app, which is a lifesaver for staying productive.
Threads
Meta’s Threads is still growing, but I’m starting to see more engagement on it. It’s a great time to experiment as they roll out features like their Creator Fund, which pays select users for content engagement.
Epidemic Sound
If you need quality royalty-free music, Epidemic Sound has an extensive library. While it does come with a monthly fee (around $15-25), the quality makes it worth the investment.
Chatgpt
By now, most people know about ChatGPT, but I use it to streamline content ideas, create script outlines, and even train it to understand my writing style. It’s become an essential tool for my workflow, and I’m still discovering new ways to use it.
Riverside
I started using Riverside mainly for its free transcription service, which is great for turning video content into blogs, newsletters, and even training my AI writing assistants. It’s also a solid platform for recording high-quality interviews, editing quickly, and going live with ease. Their AI tools can also help break down live streams into bite-sized clips for social media.
Meta Business Suite
This tool is crucial for scheduling, creating, and managing content across Facebook and Instagram. I manage multiple pages, and Meta Business Suite makes it easy to track insights and manage comments all in one place.
Substack
Substack is more than just a newsletter platform. It’s evolved into its own social network where you can build communities, paywall your content, start podcasts, and even monetize your audience with ease.
Artlist.io
For cinematic stock video that stands out, Artlist.io is unbeatable, though it can be a bit pricey. It’s a great resource if you want something more unique than generic stock footage.
Tools For Making Money
Pillar.io
Move over, Linktree—Pillar.io is where it’s at. Beyond just being a link page, it offers tools for selling digital products, courses, lead magnets, and even email list management. It makes purchases within social media apps super easy for your audience.
Gumroad
Gumroad is a great platform to start earning online. It gives you all the tools to sell digital products, memberships, videos, or subscriptions. The platform takes a 10% fee, but the simplicity makes it worth it.
Genero
If you’re looking to work with big brands as a freelancer, creator, or influencer, Genero connects you with campaigns. It takes some time to craft the right pitch, but this site can lead to great paid opportunities.
Glimmer.io
Another platform for building pitch decks, Glimmer.io is great for those looking to collaborate or present to potential clients.
Ascend Affiliate
This platform connects creators and influencers with brands offering affiliate programs. Through Ascend, I teamed up with the brand Aloha, which started with access to banner ads and trackable links. Over time, that relationship grew, and now I receive paid brand deals and free products too!
Google Adsense - Display
Want to monetize your website or blog? Google Adsense is a solid starting point, especially if you have decent traffic. Other alternatives include Media.net, but for high-traffic sites, platforms like Outbrain, RevContent, Taboola, and Google Adx offer higher rates.
Google Adsense - YouTube
If you have a YouTube channel and meet the requirements for the YouTube Partner Program, you can monetize your content through Google Adsense. Just like with websites, there’s a dedicated section for video monetization.
Google Ad Manager
Not to be confused with Google Ads, this platform is for monetizing websites via ad networks. It helps optimize ad placements and increase revenue by letting multiple networks compete for ad space.
Outbrain
Outbrain not only provides a revenue stream for publishers, but it’s also an excellent traffic source for advertisers. If you’re ready to spend at least $100/day, it’s a strong option to reach new audiences with recommended stories on major websites.
Quickbooks
I use QuickBooks for invoicing clients, tracking expenses, and setting aside money with their “Envelopes” tool, which even earns interest. It’s $29/month but has been worth it for me.
Cashapp
We all know about CashApp, but it’s still one of the easiest ways to send and receive quick payments.
Staying Organized
Milanote
Milanote is my HQ when it comes to organizing ideas, building mood boards, and collaborating with others. It’s similar to Trello but with way more features and templates. Perfect for creative brainstorming.
Campaign URL Builder
If you need to create UTM parameters for tracking your campaigns, this tool makes it quick and easy.
Toggl
Toggl is my go-to for tracking the time I spend on client projects. It visually organizes everything and even exports clean PDFs for clients, which is super helpful when invoicing.
Shopify Apps
Fomo
For my Shopify store, Fomo adds that extra touch by showing recent sales or low stock alerts as popups. It creates a sense of urgency, helping boost conversions.
JudgeMe
This Shopify app lets customers leave verified reviews, which automatically display on your site. It’s great for building trust with new customers.
Ultimate Sales Boost
Another Shopify app I use to add security badges, countdown timers, and sale stickers to my listings. It’s great for creating a sense of urgency at checkout.
Analytics, Reporting, Misc
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is essential for tracking user behavior on my website. It helps me optimize the experience, monitor traffic sources, and increase conversions by identifying where users spend the most time.
Google Tag Manager
For more advanced users, Tag Manager is great for tracking specific actions on your site, like button clicks and scroll depth. It can handle much more, but it’s definitely a step up from basic analytics.
Authenticator app
For added security, I use Google Authenticator for 2-step verification. It’s free, simple to set up, and adds an extra layer of protection for your accounts.
Adobe Fill and Sign
I use Adobe Fill & Sign to quickly complete PDFs and e-sign documents on the go, saving me the hassle of printing, signing, and scanning.
USPS Mobile - Pickups
If you’re shipping products yourself, USPS Mobile makes it easy to schedule free pickups, especially handy when shipping large orders.
