How to Blow Up on Social Media (No Gimmicks!)

I'm about to drop some serious truth bombs about growing your online presence in 2025. Forget what you've heard about magic growth hacks—this is all about creating content that actually matters.

Introduction

  • Welcome! Today, we're talking about how to grow your accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in 2025.

  • I currently have over 300,000 followers across all my platforms, with TikTok being my biggest, followed by Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

  • This video is completely unedited so apologies for the pauses, etc.

My growth on TikTok since January 01, 2025

The Key to Growth in 2025: Content

  • There are a million different ways to grow an account, but I’m sharing what’s worked for me.

  • The #1 mistake I see people making—especially on Instagram—is focusing too much on hacks instead of making great content.

  • TikTok is all about content—it doesn’t matter what music or tricks you use if the content isn’t engaging.

  • That’s why today’s focus is on content creation. Other growth tactics will be covered in Part 2 and beyond.

The Real Deal: Content is King (No Crown Necessary)

Let's get one thing straight: nobody cares about your fancy filters or perfectly curated grid. People want REAL stories that make them stop scrolling and actually pay attention. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook—they're all craving authentic content that tells a story.

Your Storytelling Superpower

Here's the secret sauce: storytelling isn't just for campfires and bedtime. It's your ticket to social media stardom. Whether you're sharing business journeys, historical deep dives, or just your wild day-to-day life, people want to feel connected.

Example for a Business

  • Food Truck Owner: Instead of just posting a picture of a new dish, tell the story:

    • “I first made this recipe when I was broke in 2012, using just three ingredients I had in my kitchen. It turned out so good that I knew one day I had to put it on my menu.”

  • Why this works: People now feel emotionally connected to the dish, making them more likely to engage and visit your food truck.

Example for a Creator

  • Fashion Influencer: Instead of just showing your outfit of the day:

    • “This jacket is a vintage piece from 1999. The designer originally made only 100 of these, and I found it in a thrift store for $20. Let’s talk about why vintage fashion is making a comeback.”

  • Why this works: It adds history and personal discovery, making it more engaging than just a regular outfit post.

Next I’m going to share my exact “viral storytelling formula”…
